Durant tous les week-ends du mois de juin 2020, Studio Orta Les Moulins vous invite à LUNCH WITH LUCY !
Un dispositif esthétique et bucolique qui propose à chacun des participants de s’investir dans une réflexion participative. Vous serez immergés dans le cadre unique des Moulins à travers une ballade sur les traces de l’héritage artistique de Lucy + Jorge Orta.
Nous vous invitons à lier ces méditations à l’histoire du lieu – les Papeteries du Marais – des espaces figés entre la réalité et le dessein du monde demain, et qui incarnent les notions de transformation. En effet, l’ancienne vallée industrielle papetière en Seine-et-Marne s’illustre aujourd’hui comme espace artistique éminent dans le milieu de l’art contemporain international, grâce à l’appropriation du lieu par des artistes et des galeries engagés. Il s’agit alors d’imaginer, à partir de la propre refondation des moulins, comment rebâtir notre société actuelle en un espace social plus équitable.
Cette société nous apparait aujourd’hui comme un immense édifice, un chantier vertigineux que la crise actuelle menace de faire s’effondrer. Ce chantier international résonne alors directement avec les vestiges du Moulin Sainte-Marie, témoins directs de la transformation architecturale mais aussi politique, écologique et sociale du lieu. Nous vous proposons de vous inspirer de la restauration de l’ancienne papeterie pour imaginer une société réformée.
À partir de l’empreinte du passé, vous entamerez donc une immersion artistique et politique où vous pourrez contempler l’alliance de l’art, de l’architecture et de la nature tout en élargissant la réflexion post-confinement. Ainsi, cette balade pique-nique serait une expérience contemplative mais aussi méditative sur le « monde de demain » auquel nous sommes sensibilisés. Il s’agit d’aller à la rencontre des nouvelles mesures de distanciation, plaçant ainsi chacun des participants au cœur de ce processus expérimental.
La déambulation commencera avec la distribution d’un kit pique-nique qui contiendra une nappe d’artiste ainsi qu’un ensemble d’assiettes en porcelaine Royal Limoges édition limité ’70×7’. Vous pouvez apporter votre pique-nique ou en commander au restaurant La Cachette à emporter sur place : 07 87 67 85 18 / 06 38 24 24 90.
Nous vous proposons de vous retrouver chaque samedi et dimanche de juin dans ce parcours artistique unique où vous serez vous-même précurseur du changement. Cette œuvre évolutive vous plongera dans un environnement singulier où l’esthétique et une réflexion engagée convergent vers un nouveau monde.

An aesthetic and bucolic device that offers each participant to invest in a participative reflection. You will be immersed in the unique setting of Les Moulins through a walk in the footsteps of the artistic heritage of Lucy + Jorge Orta.
We invite you to link these meditations to the history of the place - the Papeteries du Marais - spaces frozen between reality and the design of the world tomorrow, and which embody the notions of transformation. Indeed, the former papermaking industrial valley in Seine-et-Marne is illustrated today as an eminent artistic space in the world of international contemporary art, thanks to the appropriation of the place by committed artists and galleries. It is then a question of imagining, starting from the own refoundation of the mills, how to rebuild our current society into a more equitable social space.
This society appears to us today as a huge building, a dizzying construction site that the current crisis threatens to collapse. This international project then resonates directly with the remains of the Moulin Sainte-Marie, direct witnesses of the architectural but also political, ecological and social transformation of the place. We invite you to take inspiration from the restoration of the old stationery to imagine a reformed society.
From the imprint of the past, you will therefore begin an artistic and political immersion where you can contemplate the alliance of art, architecture and nature while expanding post-confinement reflection. Thus, this picnic ride would be a contemplative but also meditative experience on the "world of tomorrow" to which we are aware. It is a question of meeting new distancing measures, thus placing each of the participants at the heart of this experimental process.
The stroll will begin with the distribution of a picnic kit which will contain an artist tablecloth as well as a set of Royal Limoges porcelain plates limited edition "70x7". You can bring your picnic or order one at the La Cachette restaurant to take away on site: 07 87 67 85 18/06 38 24 24 90.
We invite you to meet every Saturday and Sunday in June in this unique artistic journey where you will be the pioneer of change yourself. This evolving work will immerse you in a unique environment where aesthetics and committed thinking converge on a new world.
